I create my washbasins by hands with clay. I generally use the traditional coiling technique. This is a labour-intensive sculptural method that allows me to shape the material as I wish. This makes my works special and unique and none are exactly the same. I put my attention and love for clay into them. When building basins, I look for harmony of shape and colour and their combination.

I love the texture of pure clay. I often leave the external part of the basin unglazed, so that handprints are outlined and there is space for an unusual texture or engraved pattern. Different clays allow different effects. This is why the choice of material is so important to me. I work with clay masses, mainly German and Spanish in different colours: white, grey, dark brown and red. The inside of the basin is always glazed. Sometimes I finish my works with gold or platinum. All sinks are stoneware fired which at a high temperature (1,250 degrees) where the clay reaches maximum sinter. This makes them not only beautiful, but also durable and waterproof. In use, cleaning or exploitation, they are no different from traditional basins.

When creating ceramic washbasins, I look for inspiration in different areas of everyday life. Sometimes it is nature and sometimes it is good design. I love the latest trends, but I am equally keen to explore tradition and folklore. Apart from the works available in my shop, you can also order a custom handmade ceramic sink designed especially for you.
